Two men armed with a crowbar robbed Walmart Thursday night.

According to the report, a black male approached the clerk at the electronics desk about 11:15 p.m. and asked to see an iPhone. When the clerk went to unlock the case where phones are kept, the man jumped the counter and pushed her to the floor. The woman advised another black male began grabbing phones from the case, before the pair fled the scene on foot.

A customer told deputies he was browsing nearby when he heard the clerk scream. The witness and another man ran to help, with one man pulling the suspect off the clerk. The witness said when one suspect approached him, he punched the suspect in the face. Although the two men attempted to apprehend the suspects, both were able to flee on foot.

A third man said he heard screaming and, when he tried to stop the fleeing suspect, the robber knocked him down and kept running.

Bartow County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said a crowbar was visible but it does not appear the two men used it.

BCSO deputies and Cartersville police searched the area, including a perimeter and floor search of the hospital. The suspects were not located and all units were back in service around 12:30 a.m.

One suspect was wearing black pants, a white V-neck shirt and black hat, while the other had on a gray and green striped shirt and black pants.
