"For more than 30 years, our club has offered a place for the schools of Bartow County to tell the community about their outstanding students," Event Chair Susan Yark said.
Sponsored by the Booth Western Art Museum, the event included breakfast and an opportunity for students, chosen by their teachers and administration, to have their accomplishments recognized by their parents, peers, teachers and administrators in a public setting.
For example, Adairsville Middle School Principal Bryan Knuchel spoke on behalf of student Chris Blackston. Knuchel said some of Blackston's roles at school include a spot on the wrestling team and helping deliver video announcements each morning at school.
"Chris is an articulate young man who always rises to the challenge with a smile on his face. He shows a love for his school, his community and his peers," Knuchel said. "His math teacher, Ms. [Kim] Caron, said he has the 'it,' that not only makes him likable, but a stand-out student, scholar athlete and school leader."
