A nude man and woman were arrested Tuesday night after they were seen entering an Acworth residence.

According to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office incident report, a man flagged the deputy down at approximately 8:30 p.m on Boones Ridge Drive. He told the deputy he saw a green Cadillac pull into the driveway of a residence he knew was empty. The Cadillac dropped off a white woman, the man said, and then it left. A short time later, according to the report, the man was going over to the residence and he saw a black man standing in the driveway. The man and woman then reportedly walked behind the residence. The man said he was about to call 911 when he saw a deputy drive by, so he flagged the deputy down.

The deputy checked the area around the residence and looked through the windows. He saw the man and woman, later identified as Austin Johnson and Ashley Williams, in a lower room on the rear of the residence. Both Johnson and Williams ran into another room as they were allegedly nude.

The deputy then went into the residence through the basement door.

According to the report, Williams said she walked from her home to the rear of the residence and saw the back door was open. She said she went in to hang out.

Johnson said he walked from the park because he wanted to and he did not know the house belonged to someone.

Both Williams and Johnson were placed in handcuffs and in separate vehicles as the investigation continued. According to the report, they were not under arrest at that point.

Back inside, the deputy photographed the basement door, a kicked-in dog door and holes punched into the walls upstairs. The deputy also found Johnson’s hat on the lower level.

Johnson’s vehicle, a green Cadillac, was later found at the park approximately 100 yards from the residence, according to the report.

Williams and Johnson were then arrested for burglary and later transported to Bartow County Jail without incident.
