Mrs. Penny Maxine Ellis-Harris, 36, of 20 Colt Court. Adairsville, passed away on Thursday, May, 3, 2012, at Gordon Hospital in Calhoun. Funeral service will be Monday, May 7, at 2 p.m., at the Adairsville Church of God, 297 Old Dixie Highway, Adairsville, GA 30103. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Grays Chapel AME Church 121 Summer Street, Adairsville, GA 30103.

Penny was born on April 5, 1976 in Cartersville, to the late Charles Mack Ellis Jr. and Brenda Ellis.

Penny attended the Greater New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed by the Faus Group, Calhoun, for the past four years.

She will always be remembered as a loving mother, friend and sister.

Penny was preceded in death by her daughter; Marshae' Harris; and grandparents, Will Henry and Willie Paul White Richards.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Jerome Harris; five children, Avery, Austin, Markayla, Christopher Jr. Harris and Nakedra Bailey; three brothers Darrell (Katrina) Ellis of Cartersville, Dwight (Natalie) Ellis of Rome, and Micheal (Samantha) Ellis of Resaca; brother-in-law Lamont Harris; father and mother-in-law Lewis and Annie Harris; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; best friend, Vickie Williams and others.
