Trailing 2-0, the Tigers (7-7, 1-4) tied the game at 2-all in the top of the fifth inning and tacked on a go-ahead run in the sixth to take a 3-2 lead.
However, Ringgold (9-5, 2-1) answered with three runs in the bottom of the sixth to seal the victory.
Hunter Smith and Lane Griffin drove in two runs for Adairsville. Cody Melton, Griffin and Jacob Smith scored the three runs for the Tigers.
Reece Spencer worked four innings for Adairsville, giving up three hits and two runs, one of them earned, three bases on balls and one strikeout.
Sean McDermott pitched two innings, giving up four hits, three runs, all three earned, two bases on balls and recording three strikeouts.
Contributing offensively for Adairsville were Hunter Smith, two singles and reached on error; Tyler Washington, a single, a sacrifice; Tristin Smith, a double and a base on balls; Melton, a single; Blaine Bishop, a base on balls. The Tigers tallied six hits and made two errors in the game, which was played Friday in Ringgold. The contest had been originally scheduled to be played at Adairsville but was moved Friday to Ringgold.
Ringgold tallied seven hits and committed four errors in the game.
Adairsville next plays against Coahulla Creek, which it visits Tuesday. The two are set to square off at 5:30 p.m.
