She was born in Aucilla, Fla., on July 29, 1912, daughter of the late A. A. and Stella Townsend Bishop. Mrs. Terrill was a member of Adairsville United Methodist Church where she also sang in the choir. She had worked at Kuhlman's Chenille, Franklin's Department Store and managed and maintained the Adairsville City Pool for approximately 18 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was well traveled, spending time in England, Scotland, Canada and Mexico to name a few. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Terrill; her parents; and 19 siblings.
Survivors include three daughters and a son, Joan (Blake) Putnam of Calhoun, Barbara Polk of Kennesaw, Jacqueline Harbison of Kennesaw, and Harry (Linda) Terrill of Harriman, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Mark Putnam, Michele Cassan, Vince Polk, Leah Terrill and Erin Poythress; seven great-grandchildren, Andrea Cassan, Amy Kish, Jennifer Cassan, Sarah Cassan, Lauren Polk, Ryan Polk and Carley Polk; four great-great-grandchildren, Braeden Kish, Abigail Kish, Nicole Cassan and Max Cassan; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at the Adairsville United Methodist Church with Dr. Ken Freshour and Rev. Skip Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Mrs. Terrill will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Pallbearers include Vince Polk, Ryan Polk, Rufus Terrill, Danny Dupree, Mark Putnam and John Harbison.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
