Man arrested for
disorderly conduct
A simple dare led to a fight in the area of Turtle Rock at 125 Red Top Beach Rd. Monday night.
According to the incident report, a Bartow County deputy responded to a call in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, he spoke with the complainant who said he was drinking several beers with white and black males.
The black male said he was going to do a flip in the water and the complainant said "If you're bad go ahead and do it." A white male pushed the male, another black male then punched the complainant, Donnie Ray Nipper in the eye.
Nipper then told the male, "It's one-on-one or 911." At that time all the other males fled in a truck. Two witnesses told the deputy that they heard screaming and yelling, but didn't know exactly what was said. They observed Nipper get punched in the eye. Upon questioning from the deputy, Nipper admitted to calling the black man a racist word, but said it was only after he was punched. The officer observed a tattoo with the words "white power" on Nipper's body. He was given an alcohol breath test, which he tested positive to and was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Money stolen
from soda machine
A manager at America's Best Inn and Suites said that nearly a hundred dollars was taken from a soda machine on the motel's property. A Bartow County deputy was dispatched to the motel located at 35 Carson Loop Monday night in reference to criminal trespass and theft report. The manger told the deputy that someone broke into the soda machine and took dollar bills from the bill receptor. The officer observed damages to the machine. He also was shown a video of an unknown white male in blue jeans and white shirt in the area.
