Syble "Bea" Ibe Lyons, 92, of Cartersville passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at the Waldrop Living Center.

Born in Ft. Payne, Ala., on March 27, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Wilbanks and the late Isie Howard Wilbanks. She was also preceded in death by her four brothers.

Bea was of the Protestant faith and moved to Cartersville in 1942. She was employed at Goodyear and performed various duties until she retired as a re-spooler after 34 years of service. Bea enjoyed gardening and traveling.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Windell and Melanie Wilson of Cartersville, and Dennis Leon Wilson of Cartersville; her brother, O.D. Wilbanks of Ft. Payne, Ala.; her sisters, Bittlow Bell of Huntsville, Ala., and Reba B. Seymour of Huntsville, Ala.; her grandchildren and their spouses, Tammy and Greg Bennett, David and Angie Wilson, Valorie Wood, Renee and David Brackett, Windell and Anna Wilson Jr.; her eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Wilbanks, Jerry Wilbanks, Tony Wilbanks, Windell Wilson Jr., Colin Bennett and Dustin Wilson. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
