The Adairsville Tigers concluded their football season in the most celebratory fashion possible, scoring a touchdown on the final play of the year — a 90-plus-yard kickoff return — to put the stamp on a 47-21 win over Gordon Central in Tiger Valley.

In other local action, the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes advanced to the playoffs for the first time in two years with a 35-21 win at LaFayette; the Woodland Wildcats kept Sequoyah out of the playoffs with a wild 42-39 home win; and the Cass Colonels dropped their season finale, 28-7, at Lambert.
