The Friday night sub-region football game between Adairsville and host Model came with somewhat of beware warning from the Tigers head coach — and for good reason. The underdog Blue Devils nearly nipped Adairsville before two late touchdowns closed the deal in a 28-14 Tigers’ victory.
In other Bartow County action — on a Friday night that saw all local teams play road games — Cartersville was downed by Cedartown, 18-10; Cass got shut out by Chattahoochee, 56-0; and Woodland lost to Northwest Whitfield, 42-13.
