Tornado spotted, did not touch down

Bartow County EMA Director Johnny Payne said a tornado was spotted in western Bartow County but did not touch down. There are reports of downed trees and power lines, and areas of flooding.

Bartow County middle and high schools released at 3:30 p.m. instead of the normal 4:05 due to the threat of severe weather.
