The train, which originated in Flint, Mich., came off the tracks about 10:15 Friday morning, spilling the grain -- corn -- it was carrying. About 15 cars were involved in the derailment.
Sunday evening, West Felton Road was closed off and on to allow trucks to carry away the grain. Bartow County Fire Department personnel said about 5:30 p.m. the roadway remained closed and would not reopen until Tuesday.
CSX officials at the site Sunday said the removal of debris would continue through at least Tuesday, with the process requiring road closures periodically.
Dwayne Jamison, Bartow County Fire Department division chief for special operations, said Friday there had been no injuries and the case would be turned over to law enforcement.
No one from CSX at the scene would comment about the derailment or the clean-up process.
The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
