Both were charged with two counts of first degree forgery. They were later released after posting $5,000 bond for the charges and will await a court date in Bartow County Superior Court.
According to officials, further investigation revealed that the two had also passed false money on Christmas Eve. The total counterfeit money recovered was $5,800.
The Sheriff's office contacted the U.S. Secret Service in Atlanta. They are assisting in the local investigation and recovery of counterfeit funds.
