Two arrested in connection with January's delivery driver robbery

According to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap, two people were arrested in connection with the Wednesday, Jan. 30, robbery and beating of a restaurant delivery driver.

A City Wings employee was making a delivery in the area of Franklin Drive off Cassville Road when he stopped at a vacant house after being flagged down by a female. While speaking with the female, he allegedly was struck in the neck and head with a hard object multiple times. His car, wallet, cash and other items were taken.

On Thursday, Feb. 7, the victim spotted his stolen vehicle traveling on Burnt Hickory Road. Officers and deputies responded and arrested Danielle Lefevbre and Bobby Wehunt.

Investigators determined that the pair was involved in the original incident. Both have been charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery and are awaiting bond in Bartow County Superior Court.

More arrests and charges are possible as investigation continues into the incident.

The victim is still recovering from his injuries at home.
