Traffic was backed up for two miles after a truck straddled the guardrail on Interstate 75 northbound Monday afternoon. Three people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Georgia State Patrol Trooper Joseph Hobbs said the official report will not be available until later this week. However, he did say that two cars were involved, with one failing to maintain their lane.
"The car tire was in between the guardrail," Hobbs said.
Howard Nelson, who was driving one of the cars involved, said he doesn't know exactly what happened.
"I feel bad they got hurt; I don't know how it happened," said Nelson, who lives in Illinois.
Hobbs said the three taken to a Gordon County hospital were not seriously injured.
