Traffic moved at a snail's pace Monday afternoon after a car struck and straddled a guardrail on Interstate 75 northbound near Cass-White Road.

Georgia State Patrol Trooper Joseph Hobbs said the official report will not be available until later this week. However, he did say that two cars were involved, with one failing to maintain their lane.

"The car tire was in between the guardrail," Hobbs said.

Howard Nelson, who was driving one of the cars involved, said he doesn't know exactly what happened.

"I feel bad they got hurt; I don't know how it happened," said Nelson, who lives in Illinois.

Hobbs said the three taken to a Gordon County hospital were not seriously injured.
