The Georgia State Patrol reported the two-vehicle wreck happened about 9:40 a.m. near Bozeman Road, about 7 miles east of Adairsville.
According to GSP, a pick-up truck being driven by Randall Sidney Brown, 64, of Acworth was traveling east on 140 when the vehicle left the road on the south shoulder, re-entered the roadway, crossed the centerline and collided with a dump truck. Brown died as result of his injuries.
The dump truck was being driven by Michael Hall, 58, of Resaca. Hall sustained minor injuries but was not transported.
Alcohol was not a factor.
