William Adam (Bill) Conyers, 57, of Cartersville, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012.

Born Nov. 28, 1954, in Cartersville, he was a son of the late John Leak Conyers and Marie Adams Conyers.

Bill was a lifelong Cartersville resident and a 1972 graduate of Cartersville High School. He later attended Kennesaw State College where he received a degree as a registered nurse. He was an ICU Nurse at Cartersville Medical Center for a number of years and also was a former house supervisor for Cartersville Medical Center. Bill was a lover of Harley Davidsons and was known for his caring and unselfish nature. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, John L. Conyers Jr. and Barbara Jean Conyers, of Ringgold; a sister, Rachel Hope Conyers, of Cartersville; nephew, John L. (Sonny) Conyers; niece, Rachel Marie Cooper; and an uncle, Claude B. Conyers, of New York.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Bartow Health Access, 31 Pointe North Drive, Cartersville, GA, 30120.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
