The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a wind advisory for today for much of north and central Georgia, including Bartow County.

Strong, gusty winds are expected from 10 a.m. to midnight as a low pressure system moves through along a cold front. Winds from the west at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are expected. Winds can make driving difficult, so caution is urged.

Following the front's passing, temperatures will drop and flurries are possible.

Today's forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1 p.m., with a high near 57. Overnight, there is a slight chance of rain showers before 10, then scattered flurries between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Lows forecasted around 29. Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 43.
