Bartow wrestlers look to prove worth at area tourneys
Just a few weeks removed from area and state duals, Bartow County wrestlers hit the mats for area tournaments this weekend with seemingly recharged batteries for the final stretch of the season -- one of the most unique among all Georgia high school sports. Traditional tournaments replace their duals-styled brethren for the last month of the wrestling season as each individual grapples to prove he is the best in his weight class. Of course, a top-four spot this weekend will do well enough to push a wrestler through to next weekend's sectionals.
