Excel wins Softball in the Sand Tourney
The Excel softball team concluded a strong weekend Saturday as the Lady Eagles won their division at the Softball in the Sand Tournament in Brunswick. “We’re real excited and energized about this tournament,” Excel head coach Chad Parker said. “It feels real good. We came down here and figured out a few things about ourselves and learned how to compete at a high level.” The Lady Eagles lost to a pair of Class AAAAA schools Friday in Camden County and Kell, and a Class AAAAAA school in North Cobb.
