The Woodland baseball team dropped another heartbreaker in a marathon game at LakePoint on Tuesday.
In a game moved from Sonoraville due to wet field conditions, the Wildcats fell to the Phoenix by a 1-0 score with the only run coming in the bottom of the 10th.
Woodland (6-5) could never get the offense going, mustering just two hits over 10 frames.
Sonoraville (2-2) had just seven hits, including Wyatt Castoe's walk-off winner.
The loss wasted a fantastic pitching performance from Koby Stansel, who went eight strong innings with seven strikeouts.
Woodland, which has now suffered four one-run losses and three walk-off defeats, returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Adairsville.
