Bartow County was represented by 10 swimmers this weekend at the GHSA State Swimming and Diving Meet at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
All Bartow swimmers competed against other swimmers from classifications A through 5A.
Adairsville freshman Rylee Moss placed the highest as she finished 12th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.22 and 16th in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.87.
Adairsville’s Dylan Smith placed 55th in 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.79 and 59th in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.40.
The other individual competitor from Bartow County was Cartersville’s Georgia Rutledge, who placed 43rd in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.78.
The Tigers had two relay teams competing as well. The boys 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay teams each featured Smith, Daniel Sullivan, Johnathon Wilkes and Jake Eberly. The relay team placed 53rd in the 400-yard freestyle with a time of 3:49.03, while the 200-yard freestyle relay team placed 64th with a time of 1:39.59.
Meanwhile, Woodland’s Caliope Miron, Ashlyn Smith, Kera Lawhon and Madi Tuplin competed in the 200-yard freestyle relay and took 57th with a time of 1:51.78.
