Billie Roscoe Brugh, age 84, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
Mr. Brugh was born on February 22, 1935, in Roanoke, VA, son of the late Ernest Brugh and Kittie Swartzell Brugh.
Mr. Brugh proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired having served twenty-one years during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War as a Tgst. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and restoring old cars. He had a vast knowledge on the history of airplanes. The true joy in his life was spending quality time with his loving wife of sixty-four years, Melba Jane Miller Brugh, family and his grandchildren.
Mr. Brugh is preceded in death by his brothers, Edgar and Walter Brugh; sisters, Kathleen Hale, Janie Woodson and Berndine Ulrey.
Mr. Brugh is survived by his wife; sons, Michael Brugh, Mark Brugh, Marvin (Sylvia) Brugh, Kevin (Chi) Brugh and Craig (Nadia) Brugh; grandchildren, Courtney Brugh, Tyler Brugh, Brandon Brugh, Amanda Brugh, Alexander Brugh and Angelina Brugh, Oanh Nguyen and Hung Nguyen; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Samuel, Troy, Dalton, Abbie and Brooke; brother, Henry (Elaine) Brugh; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at twelve-thirty in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 12th of June, 2019, in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Pastor James Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at two-thirty in the GA National Cemetery with full military honors rendered.
Serving as pallbearers are Tyler, Brandon and Alex Brugh.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o'clock in the afternoon until eight on Tuesday, the 11th of June, 2019, at Owen Funeral Home.
