Cindy was a native of Marietta, after marrying she and her husband Stephen lived in Woodstock 10 years, before moving to Adairsville, where they have lived for 31years and have raised their family. This lady, “Mom”, was her family’s everything, “their rock”, their heart and soul. She was pure joy in their sight, her smile, her laugh, her talks were indescribable. She was an incredible human, wife, mother, grand-mommy, sister, aunt, mother-in-law and friend. To her daughter Melissa, she was her best friend. Cindy never met a stranger, she would take anyone in as her own family. She would give you the shirt off her back. She was constantly trying to take care of everybody. She was kinda the boss of the family.  She had her stubborn ways and you didn’t have to wonder what she thought because she would let you know real fast. She could ruffle your feathers with her feisty self and then turn around and do the most selfless, thoughtful thing that anyone has ever done for you. You couldn’t get anything over on her. She just cared so much about everything and everybody. She was constantly doing things or buying things to help in every way she could. She loved like no other. We hope she knew how much, she was appreciated. Grand-Mommy loved all her Grand-Angels they were her whole world, she tried to make it to every event in their lives whether it was a book fair, a play, chorus, or a ball game. She just wanted to be there and she was their biggest fan. Family dinners, shopping dates and adventures were always extra special because of her. She loved God and instilled that love for Him in her family. She gave her “Whole Heart”.  Life is not going to be the same without her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Ray and Geneva Brown. Cindy is survived by her husband of  almost 41 years, Stephen Reece of Adairsville; daughter, Melissa (Tommy) Porter of Kingston; son, Cody (Danica) Reece of Cartersville; sister, Claire (Frank) Ennis, of Port Charlotte, FL; nephew, Brett (Ashley) Silvey of Calhoun; her “grand-angels”, McKaiden, McKya Rae, Derris, Danyon Reece, Mya and Westin Porter, Briana Silvey and many other “adopted grand-angels”.  Several aunts, uncles, cousins and an infinite amount of friends also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday evening, August 21st at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA  30066, 770.422.1234.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.mariettafuneralhome.org.
