The 19-year-old who suffered severe leg trauma and was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center has been identified as Travis Terry, of Cassville, by the GSP.
According to the police report, at 7 p.m., a 1998 Ford F-150 crossed over the center line of the roadway while going south on Burnt Hickory, hit a 2017 Toyota Tacoma going north, then overcorrected and hit Terry’s 2009 BMW 328i.
The front of the F-150 hit the front of Terry’s BMW, forcing the BMW off the east side of the road and into a ditch.
The Ford F-150 then rolled onto its passenger side and began rotating in a counter-clockwise direction before striking the front of a fourth car, a dark-colored sedan.
The Tacoma only suffered damage to its driver’s side mirror.
The dark-colored sedan and the F-150 each suffered significant front-end damage.
According to Bartow County EMS, the driver of the sedan went to Cartersville Medical Center with minor chest pain.
GSP did not indicate if any arrests had been made and added the incident is still under investigation.
