Mrs. Hazel Juanita Pinson, 88, of Cartersville, passed away at Cartersville Medical Center, on Friday, August 31st, 2018.
Born in Cartersville, Georgia on January 26, 1930, Mrs. Pinson was the daughter of the late Walter A. Darnell and Mrs. Tommie Chumbley Darnell.
Mrs. Pinson was employed by EZ Mills before her retirement, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cartersville. She enjoyed cooking and loved being with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Dalton Pinson; her son, William Michael Pinson; her sisters, Ruby Ledford, Lula Smith, Allene Ayers, Ellen James, Maude Darnell and Corine Pope; her brothers, James Darnell and Charles A. Darnell; and her son-in-law, Robert G. Sloan.
Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Gail Sloan of Cartersville; granddaughter, Melissa Stewart (Coy) of Cartersville; grandsons, Brian Sloan (Carla) of Adairsville, Jeffrey Sloan (Brandy) of Cartersville, Darrin Sloan (Melissa) of Taylorsville, Shane Pinson of Cartersville, Chris Pinson (Addie) of Cartersville; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Pinson of Cartersville; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with Reverend David Baker and Reverend Crawford Greeson officiating. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
