I-75 wreck claims life of Alabama man


A 21-year -old man from Madison, Alabama, is dead after losing control of his vehicle while traveling southbound on I-75 near mile marker 293 Thursday evening.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, Jackson D. Rumley was traveling in the left lane in his 2002 Nissan Maxima when he lost control while attempting to negotiate a right curve at about 8 p.m.  He traveled off the east side of the roadway, into the median, and then proceeded through a ditch and up an embankment. 

As Rumley's vehicle continued southbound in the median, his vehicle began to rotate counter-clockwise,  striking a tree with its right side. It came to an uncontrolled rest, facing east near the Tellus exit.
