Mrs. Mary Ruth Towe Rogers, age 82, of Lake Marguerite Drive, Adairsville passed away peacefully Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her residence.
She was born in Alabama, March 26, 1937, daughter of the late Chester and Beulah Smith Towe. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. Over the years she enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Rev. Carlton Rogers sharing the gospel. They also owned and operator a cabinet shop for many years. She wore a big beautiful smile that could always light up the room. A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, her memory they will always keep. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Rev. Carlton Rogers; sons, Terry Rogers and Donnie Rogers;
Survivors include her sons, Randy Rogers and Scotty Rogers; daughter, Staci (Freddy) Griffin; grandchildren, Jason, Jeb, and Jesse Rogers, Jenny (Jason) Phair, Taffy Rogers, Andrew Rogers, Laura (Justin) Oliver, David-Ryan (Marie) Rogers, Emily Rogers, Austin Simpson, Seth Rogers, and Ty Rogers; great-grandchildren, Noah, Kevin, Caden, Aubree, Carter, Trent, Caleb, and Riley; sister, Juanita Towe and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Reverends Dewey Atchley and Larry Towe officiating. Interment will follow in Dry Creek Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Jerry Bramblett, Gene Towe, Eric Langley, George Jones, Freddy Griffin, and Kenny Rogers.
The family will receive friends at Barton Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
