Providing a plethora of wedding vendors in one site, the Northwest Georgia Bridal Expo looks to provide area couples “unique ideas for their big day.” Set for Sunday, the event will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at the Clarence Brown Conference Center, 5450 State Route 20 in Cartersville.“The Northwest Georgia Bridal Expo has been held in Cartersville for several years now, but this is only my second year as coordinator,” said Deanna Berry, chief marketing officer for McWhorter Capital Partners, the expo’s parent company. “... We have [once] again sold out our booths — more than 60 vendors from all over the northwest Georgia region — and we are expecting an even larger crowd of attendees this year. We have two fashion shows — a couture fashion show at 1 p.m. and a boutique fashion show at 3 p.m. The couture fashion show will feature one-of-a-kind gowns by extremely talented local designer Storm Dorris, and is designed to highlight the cutting edge of bridal fashion. The boutique fashion show will feature bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses and mens’ formalwear from a variety of designers that will be provided by Top Hat Formal Wear in Rome and CTO Bridal Boutique in Powder Springs. The boutique show is designed to showcase traditional gowns that brides are more likely to choose for their big day.”Along with many vendors from Bartow, the expo also will feature wedding exhibitors from surrounding counties.“I’m really excited about the mix of exhibitors this year, both categorically and geographically,” Berry said. “Whether they are choosing venues, caterers, cakes, photographers, entertainment or anything else that goes into planning a wedding, the expo presents the perfect opportunity for brides and grooms-to-be to meet a wide range of vendors in one convenient location. I hope that attendees not only find a few vendors with which they choose to do business, I hope that the expo is a great resource for brides and grooms to be [able] to get unique ideas for their big day. And, above all, we want them to have some fun and enjoy the time spent at the expo with their family members and friends. It’s a wedding planning experience in and of itself, and one that will create happy memories for many years to come.“In addition to the dozens of door prizes and the fabulous honeymoon package from Take Time to Travel, two lucky brides will win a $1,000 voucher from McWhorter Capital Partners that can be used towards products and services booked with any of our expo vendors. A win for the brides, and certainly a win for our exhibitors.”For Amy Potts, customer service representative for McStatts’ Printing, the Northwest Georgia Bridal Expo will be an ideal opportunity to share the Cartersville store’s products with prospective brides and grooms.“This is actually our first year being a part of the event,” Potts said, adding McStatts’ offers a wide variety of wedding products, from T-shirts and place cards to invitations and printed fans for outdoor ceremonies. “... It’s a chance to interact with other people in the community as well as brides. It’s a happy time in their lives, and we’re just glad to be a part of it.”Tickets to the event cost $6 at http://www.nwgeorgiabridalexpo.com or $10 at the door.
