The game, which starts at 5 p.m., will be played at Wienman Stadium at Cartersville High School. Admission prices are $4 for adults and $2 for students.
According to Robert Allen, Cartersville coach, the region championship game pits two teams who compiled almost identical stats during their respective seasons.
Not only did both teams earn 8-0 records, he stated, but Cartersville is averaging scoring 35 points per game while Calhoun is averaging 31.
The defenses are equally matched, too, as Cartersville is giving up four points per game while Calhoun's defense has held opponents to five points per outing.
