Mrs. Littlefield was born in Adairsville, July 9, 1918, daughter of the late Addline Smith and James Martin Culberson. She was a lifelong member of Snow Springs Baptist Church, Adairsville where she was also active in the Women's Circle. Mrs. Littlefield had been a member of the Eastern Star and the Folsom Homemakers Club. She enjoyed sewing, canning, cooking and especially gardening. Mrs. Littlefield was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Landon Littlefield; a son, Edward Littlefield; four brothers; and seven sisters.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dr. Jerry and Barbara Littlefield of Rome, Edwin Littlefield of Marietta, and Dr. Byron and Dana Littlefield of Adairsville; five grandchildren, Laura and Dr. Philip Aschi, John and Kathy Littlefield, Chris Littlefield, Lena Littlefield, and Will Littlefield; three great-grandchildren, Alexander Aschi, Christian Aschi, and Dane Littlefield; a sister, Doris Hight of Shannon; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 30, at 3 p.m. from Snow Springs Baptist Church with Rev. James Ward and Rev. Robert Chancey officiating. Pallbearers will include Richard Nelson, Earl Barrett, Chris Littlefield, Will Littlefield, John Littlefield, and Alexander Aschi. Craig Adair, James Barrett, Robert Barrett, Lamar Camp, Thomas Moore, Howard Withrow, Wayne Woodring, Wade Culberson, Chris Culberson, Stanley, Dale, and Randal Woodring, Ricky and Randy Witt will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.
The family received friends Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
