Mrs. Segars was born Sept. 19, 1914, in Bartow County, a daughter of John and Hamiter Lankford Bohannon.
She was a longtime resident of Emerson, a faithful member of the Bethany Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Segars and J. D. Franklin; and her son and daughters, Earl Segars, Marie Ashworth and Iris West; and her brothers, Ed, Jesse, Debe, and Roy Bohannon; and a sister, Ruby Gravley.
Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Oliver, Faye Segars and Ann Earwood; and sons, Charles and Roy Segars; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. from the Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Bradford Thomas and the Rev. Duane Earwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and will lie in state at the church Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
