On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to congratulate Bartow County Juvenile Court Judge Velma Tilley on earning a 2010 Big Voice for Children award, presented by the advocacy group Voices for Georgia's Children.
Those of us who practice law here in Bartow County can attest to Judge Tilley's sharp legal mind and leadership skills and, especially, her commitment to upholding the rule of law. Her service as judicial co-chair of the Northwest Georgia System of Care Advisory Council has provided additional benefits on behalf of children here and across the state.
All Georgia lawyers and judges can be inspired by Judge Tilley's commitment to serving others in the community, which in turn serves to promote the cause of justice and uphold the integrity of the legal profession in our state. Voices for Georgia's Children could not have made a better selection.
