Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the House of Liberty Church. Interment will follow in Oakhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at Eppinger's Funeral Home.
Lucy was born in Cartersville on Sept. 9, 1948, to the late John and Thelma Clay Morris. She was educated in the Cartersville School System and was employed by Mohawk Carpets.
Lucy professed Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was called into the ministry as a member of the House of Liberty Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted and loving husband, John A. Hudson; three children, Curt Morris (Melissa), Katasha Morris (Sammy Stephens) and Teco Hudson; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Lavette (Robert), Barnedia Durrah (Ronald) and Tina Downton; five brothers, John Morris (Clarisse), Myles Morris (Sylvia), Phillip Morris (Sybol), Larry Morris, and Harold Morris; an aunt, Christine; two uncles, John Morris and Wade Morris (Elmarie); nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
