Charles Dean Holt, 72, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010.

Mr. Holt was born April 17, 1938, in Cherokee County, a son of the late W.D. Holt and Marie Hill Holt.

He was a member of the Center Baptist Church and was a retired supervisor at Flex-Pak Printers in Alpharetta. Dean love antique cars and loved to work.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary Yvonne (Bonnie) Greenway Holt; and is survived by his son, Brian Dean Holt and his companion, Lavonda Fowler, of Adairsville; his sister, Joan Holt Wilson of Cartersville; special brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Lanelle Lewis; special sister and brother-in-law, Sherry Jennings Takas and John Takas; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Myrtice Greenway; and a number of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Greenway and Rev. Dewey Atchely officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Larry Smith, Jerry Huskins, Doug Dupree, Michael McDaniel, Charles Greenway and Shawn Greenway. Honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Pruitt, Jack Garrison, Clayton Collins and Sammy Goble.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
