Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Chapel in Marietta.
Mr. Peterson was active in the Kennesaw Shrine Club and the Yaarab Shrine Temple. He was retired from Lockheed Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Peterson of Cartersville; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Judy Peterson of Calhoun; two grandchildren, Sally Peterson, Zach Hutchinson; step-children, Gary Hatfield of Albany, Terri Conner of Powder Springs, Mark Hatfield of Emerson, Jeff Hatfield of Marietta; nieces and nephews.
Mr. Peterson was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Lee and Pauline Peterson; son, Billy Peterson; sisters, Loretta Adams, Bertta Lee Harris; and a brother, Kiker Peterson.
