Frances Ingram Darnell, 85, of Cartersville, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010.

Mrs. Darnell was born Nov. 25, 1925 in Bartow County, a daughter of the late Robert Matthew Ingram and Ollie Mae Grizzle Ingram. She was a member of The Church at Liberty Square and a retired sales clerk.

Preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Darnell, survivors include her son and daughter in law, Larry and Pam Darnell, of Marietta, her grandchildren, Kim and Robbie Smith, of Cartersville, Mike and Tisha Darnell, of Cartersville, Ashley Darnell, of Marietta and Traci Darnell, of Florida, great grandchildren, Anna, Nikki and Brock Smith, Tyler and Cameron Darnell and Jayden Castellon. Also surviving are her sister and brother in law, Sara and Charles Jefferson, of Cartersville, sisters, Martha Whitener, of Cartersville, Bobbie Burns, of Calhoun, brother and sister in law, Bill and Hazel Ingram, of Cartersville and brother and sister in law, Ernest and Connie Ingram, of Cartersville and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Lamar Darnell, sisters, Mamie Spencer, Betty Adcock, Mary Cochran, Altie Stepp and a brother, James Ingram.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Dec.27, 2010 from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Cline officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Ingram, Jeff Coleman, Jerry Whitener, Ed Farmer, David Craig and Ricky Townsend.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 26.
