Police officers in Adairsville have arrested seven individuals on felony warrants, according to Chief Charles Stafford. Those arrested violated the Georgia Controlled Substance Act or traffic offenses.

Stafford said this type of proactive law enforcement deters the criminal element from wanting to operate within the jurisdiction. The Adairsville Police Department started conducting criminal patrol to make the holidays safe for citizens and visitors Dec. 20.
