Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, the late Dr. Clyde E. Morgan, a prominent veterinarian in Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee. She is survived by her four daughters, Linda Morgan League, Jeanie Morgan Shaw, Beth Morgan Wright (Kevin), Gwen Morgan Greene (Chris).
Known by "Mamaw" to all, she has 12 grandchildren: James Morgan League (Jessica), Dinah League Smith (Jeff), James Henry Shaw, IV (Lauren), Joshua Roberts Shaw, Johnathan Eugene Shaw, John Morgan Wright (Jill), Colby Dean Wright, Allison Calk Beech (Stephen), Whitney Elizabeth Calk, Melissa Greene Campbell (Jeremy), Katie Greene Roney (Caleb), and Julia Auburn Greene. Other grieving relatives include nine great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thomas Morgan (H.C.) of Auburn, Ala., and Martha Roberts Parker (Billy) of Birmingham, Ala., and their families.
Services will be held at Woodfin Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 1, at 2:30 p.m. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Woodfin Funeral Chapel. Services will be conducted in the chapel, with Bros. Jim Clardy and Joe Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
