Mr. Billy Ray Hale, Sr., 64, of Emerson died suddenly, Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, born Feb. 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Charles William Hale and the late Mary Jean Smith Hale. Billy was self-employed as an Interior Decorator.

He is survived by his son, Billy Hale, Jr. of Acworth; his granddaughter, MacKenzie Hale; his sister, Brenda Sue Cline of Cartersville; and a brother, Scotty Ray Hale also of Cartersville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 15, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
