According to a Cartersville Police Department release, Little Caesar's Pizza, 509 N. Tennessee St., was the target of armed robbers Monday morning.

Employees of the restaurant said two subjects entered the store and robbed the location with weapons. Both males jumped over the counter and demanded cash from both registers as well as the safe. Complying with their requests, the original complainant stated that he emptied the safe into a white pillow case with pink flowers and green stems. The suspect possessed a gun while the money was being transferred; the other suspect wielded a knife while restraining the second victim.

Bartow County EMS arrived to treat the injuries sustained by one of the victim's when he attempted to shield himself from being stabbed by the suspect with the knife. A cut on his hand and a laceration to the right side of his head were photographed by police before he was transported to Cartersville Medical Center to be treated.

Both victims stated that the subjects exited the building through a back door.

Capt. Frank Cline said the suspects were described as Hispanic males, wearing all black.

The case remains under investigation.
