"The recent weather-related college closing has presented challenges in most of our classes meeting their required hours this quarter," said Dr. Trina Boteler, vice president of Academic Affairs at Chattahoochee Technical College. "This is especially true of those courses that have specific lab and/or clinical requirements. However, the timing of our closings has affected our lecture-only classes as well."
Classes offered on a Monday-only, Tuesday-only, Wednesday-only and Monday and Wednesday schedule are especially affected, as those classes have not yet met for this quarter.
Due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day closing on Monday, Monday-only classes will not begin until Monday, Jan 24.
The current calendar shows the last day of the quarter as Wednesday, March 16, and finals on Thursday, March 17, and Friday, March 18.
The quarter will now end on Tuesday, March 22, and final exams for any classes that need the extra day will be on Wednesday, March 23.
Other changes to the calendar include:
Registration for the spring quarter will shift from Feb. 14 to Monday, Feb. 21 with no priority registration for this term.
The last day to withdraw with a "W" for this term is Feb. 25.
BannerWeb registration for spring quarter will close on March 18 and the first day of the spring quarter will remain as Monday, April 4.
Fee payment deadline will remain as March 21.
Contact with Georgia Highlands College concerning their calendar could not be made by press time.
