Arrests were made on outstanding warrants for drug charges, aggravated assault, probation violations and weapons charges. Over 40 warrants were served, leading to the arrests.
The Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force (FBI Safe Streets Task Force), U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, deputies with the Bartow and Paulding counties Sheriff's Offices worked together as a part of the Outstanding Warrant Service Round-Up and Probation/Parole Searches.
Although a majority of the arrests were due to a probation search, drug and weapon charges were also filed. Deputy Commander Lt. J.L. Cheek of the Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force stated that a stolen vehicle and two stolen weapons were also recovered during the operation.
Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap, along with Cartersville Police Chief Tommy Culpepper, stated that more arrests are expected in the future.
