Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James David Chapman (J. D.), she leaves one daughter, Donna Chapman Hicks and her husband Roger Lee Hicks, III, of Marietta, two granddaughters, Emily Catherine Hicks of Kennesaw, and Barbara Allison Hicks of Boston, Mass. Lottie is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Ann Jones Robinson of Santa Teresa, N.M., and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
She made many lifelong friends, and she was very proud of her family members who served in the military -- her husband, James, and all his brothers, her brothers Everett, Wilburn, and Albert Jones, her sister Mattie Belle Jones Duncan and husband Talmadge W. (Ted) Duncan, her nephew Jon Michael Jeter and his father, Wilbur (Bill) Jeter.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, she was an avid baker, enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and loved welcoming family and friends into their home. She was a wonderful homemaker. She is so loved and will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Chaplain Keith Guyton officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Owen Funeral Home, Cartersville.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens
