Nine scorers tallied points for the Lady Purple Hurricanes, who were led by Kea Garnigan and Jazmine Baldwin's 14 points apiece.
Kaelyn Irby (13), Adrienne Green (6), Carlee Bragg (5), April Gary (4), Stefanie Will (4), Katie O'Connor (4) and D'Yasmine Richards (2) also scored for Cartersville.
"We had great effort on defense and kept our composure under pressure from them," Lady Canes coach Donna Enis said. "The early-season [losses] helped us to win this game."
Cartersville led 18-11 at the end of the first quarter, was up 38-29 at the half and took a 55-44 lead into the fourth quarter.
In a makeup game Saturday at Allatoona, the Lady Canes lost 56-38. The game was scheduled for Jan. 14 before being postponed due to bad weather.
Cartersville (11-9, 5-2 Region 7B-AAA) gets its shot at retribution today when it welcomes those very same Lady Buccaneers to The Storm Center. The game starts at 6 p.m.
