A Cartersville man allegedly was attacked when he took his daughter home after a visitation on Monday.

The victim told a Bartow County deputy that he and his estranged wife, Tara Flory, got into an argument when she got in his vehicle and took his cell phone. He said an altercation ensued when he tried to remove her from the vehicle.

The deputy spoke with Flory who stated she was upset with her husband because he owed her child support money and she grabbed the phone to hold as collateral. She added that the pair struggled over the phone and she attempted to honk the horn to alert neighbors.

Flory was arrested and charged with simple assault under the Family Violence Act.
