Adairsville Police Lt. Robert Jones said there was no sign of an altercation prior to the incident.
He said an arrest has been made and further charges may possibly be filed as the investigation continues.
At this time, Kaleb Harp, 20, also of 128 N. Franklin St., Adairsville, has been arrested in connection with the case and charged with reckless conduct, involuntary manslaughter and pointing or aiming gun or pistol at another.
