Prior to retirement, Mrs. Shook was employed by Lockheed-Martin and Dennison National, Marietta. She was born Jan.22, 1929, in Maiden, N.C., to the late Sidney and Susan Bradshaw Keever. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Coyte Shook, two brothers and six sisters. Mrs. Shook is survived by sister, Doris Westby, Hickory, N.C., and brother J.R. (Mary Ruth) Keeveer. She leaves behind her children: Roger (Arleen) Shook, Linda Shook, and Barbara (Paul) Hyde Kendall. Grandchildren: Brain (Amy) and Todd (Candy) Shook; Marsha (Tony) Himelright; Jennifer (Jimmy) Smith; Jason (Jamie) Hyde; Justin Hyde. Great grandchildren: Blake, Chandler, and Rylee Shook; Haley and Maggie Shook; Madison, Lexi and Kristina Himelright; Angelina and Dylan Smith; and Zachery, Kaiden, and Kaylee Hyde.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 8, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the Carmichael Funeral Home, 2950 King Street, Smyrna.
