Frances Holden Dysart, 87, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011.

Mrs. Dysart was born Oct. 20, 1923, in Bartow County, a daughter of the late George Lester Holden and Gertrude Pinson Holden.

She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and in her earlier years, Mrs. Dysart had worked at EZ Mills. A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Dysart dedicated her life to serving others and to making all those around her feel special.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Dysart, survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Dysart Jr. and his wife Judie of Tennessee, Jim Dysart and his wife Dotty of Dallas, Ga., Steve Dysart, John Buff Dysart, and Dan Dysart, all of Cartersville; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Holden of Decatur; and one sister, Carol Culverhouse of Cartersville.

She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters, George, Virginia, Juanita and Mildred.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Morris Bearden officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Adam Crenshaw, Nathan Payne, Kelly Dysart, Don Keever Jr., Wesley Dysart and Casey Dysart Deering.

The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m.
