According to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap and Cartersville Police Chief Tommy Culpepper, officers assisted Fannin County with an investigation that dealt with major marijuana trafficking.
Rogers was arrested on various drug charges, including trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. During the operation officers seized approximately 26 pounds of marijuana, about $12,000 in U.S. currency, digital scales and packaging materials.
Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force Deputy Commander Lt. J.L. Cheek said Rogers was the main target of a six month-long investigation. Cheek said Rogers was a major dealer in Fannin County and other north Georgia counties.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing and they expect more arrests in the future.
