Man robbed at gunpoint in apartment parking lot
Friday night a man became the victim of an armed robbery in the Cassville Oaks Apartments parking lot. A Bartow deputy arrived on scene and the man stated that he was approached by a black male who demanded money as the cocking sound of a firearm was heard. Another male approached the scene and struck the victim on the head with a firearm, knocking him to the ground and the two men began kicking the victim. The suspects stole the man's cell phone and left the area in a white SUV, occupied by unknown suspects. The vehicle was soon located by another deputy and the suspects were arrested. The victim was witnessed to have a knot behind his left ear, another knot on the left side of his head, a scratch on his left arm, a scratch on his left knee and a scratch on his right hand. The victim did not with to prosecute.
Man turned in by his mother
A 26-year old Dallas man, who police had been searching for since January, was arrested on Friday by Cartersville police.
Jeffery Blake Corley assaulted a customer at Cletus T's on Jan. 22. Capt. J.F. Cline said that he got away before police arrived. Corley was being escorted out of the building by two bouncers when he punched a patron standing by the door. Witnesses said the victim did nothing to agitate him. Cline said Corley's mother informed them of his whereabouts.
